In celebration of three years and over 30 sell out events with thousands of you lot (the best party people in the world) it's time for another massive WAYF party! Joining WAYF for their big birthday shindig is BBC Radio 1's very own king of rock and rave Kissy Sell Out. With support from the knee wobbling Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (live) plus Harry Bird & Ste-V-Something. Meanwhile dubsteppers Broke DJs take over upstairs for a sub-bass session and the all-girl party crew Housewife Collective bring their records and washing to the Engine Rooms.

Launching WAYF's next multi-venue Block Party festival in style the team create for one night only a 400 capacity guerilla night club connected to the main event: a silent disco arena and bar specially constructed in the TOFS courtyard! Hosted by WAYF resident DJs in a 2-channel vs battle all night long they'll be lifting the lid on all the details of Bournemouth's only metropolitan festival The Block Party coming this May Day Bank Holiday.

Kissy Sell Out; BBC Radio 1 electro pioneer, party starter and mini East London firecracker needs little introduction. Blurring the lines between rock and rave he's been championing what WAYF is all about for almost two-years on his Radio 1 show while consistently slaying dancefloors the world over with his electric DJ and live sets. Meanwhile fresh from DJing with the likes of Calvin Harris, Annie Mac & The Nextmen our Engine Rooms resident bad man Harry Bird brings the beats and bass to the party in support. Jurassic beat creator Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs thoroughly destroyed Ibar at the last Block Party back in November 2009 and now makes his début in our main room to show us how it's done. Last but not least Ste-V-Something is getting ready to do it birthday style! Expect as ever eclectic beats, big basslines and suspect samples nicked from Pat Sharpe's retirement home.

Kicking off the Summer festival season WAYF presents The Block Party, it's massive multi-venue event coming to Bournemouth on Saturday 1st May 2010. Get ready to join 2,500 party people taking to the streets for this special one night only music, arts and interactive festival. Spread in and around six venues The Block Party is a 12 hour marathon of 50+ of the best DJs & acts, interactive events, surprises and good times for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend!

To launch this epic event we'll be reclaiming part of the block to create Bournemouth's first guerilla night club in the The Old Firestation courtyard connected to the main event with free entry for all party goers. For one night only we'll be constructing a full arena, bar and silent disco soundsystem hosted by our friends and residents to help reveal all The Block Party details in serious style!
